About Penmachno Hall
An impressive rectory of slate construction dating from 1862, Penmachno Hall has been recently renovated to provide comfortable and spacious accommodation for the visitor.
Since aquiring the hall in 2002, Lauraine and Simon Awdry have undertaken a programme of extensive refurbishment, redecoration being planned with a keen eye for interior design.
The front door with its original Victorian brass bell-pull leads to the large entrance hall. Two reception rooms available for guests on the ground floor – the Morning Room and Dining Room – have log and coal fires.
The landscaped garden, with large stone steps, and random slate seating allow the visitor to enjoy quiet moments listening to the river and enjoying the views.
All three bedrooms are upstairs, and feature fabulous views of the gardens and beyond. All rooms are £47.50 per person per night, based on two people sharing for a minimum of two nights.
